Church Website Design

Church Websites That Welcome First-Time Visitors

I'm Bill, a Christian web developer in Tucson, Arizona. I design and build church websites that make it easy for a first-time visitor to find your service times, know what to expect and feel welcome before they ever walk through the door, and that your staff and volunteers can keep up to date without calling a developer.

Who This Is For

  • Churches and church plants that need their first real website
  • Congregations with an outdated site that doesn't work well on phones
  • Pastors and church administrators who need to update content themselves
  • Ministries that want sermons, events and giving in one place

Problems I Solve

  • Visitors can't quickly find service times, location or what to expect on a Sunday
  • The site looks broken or is hard to read on a phone, where most visitors arrive
  • Only one person knows how to update it, so events and announcements go stale
  • People searching for a church nearby never find you on Google
  • The site isn't accessible to members with visual or motor impairments

What You Get

Every church website design project includes:

Plan-a-visit information up front

Service times, address, parking, kids' ministry and what to expect, on the home page where visitors look first.

Sermons and media

Embedded sermon videos or audio from YouTube or your existing platform, organized so people can find past messages.

Ministries and events

Pages for your ministries and an events section your staff can update themselves.

Online giving

A clear giving page connected to the giving provider you already use.

Mobile-first and accessible

Built to read well on any phone and designed with WCAG accessibility guidelines in mind.

Local search visibility

On-page SEO and structured data so people searching for a church near them can find you.

My Process

  1. Free consultation

We talk through your goals, your audience and what isn't working today. No cost and no obligation.

  2. Plan and fixed quote

You get a written scope, timeline and fixed price before any work starts, so there are no surprise costs.

  3. Design and build

I design and build the site, sharing progress as I go. Three rounds of revisions are included.

  4. Launch

I handle testing across phones, tablets and desktops, then launch and make sure search engines can find the new site.

  5. Support

30 days of post-launch support are included. After that, ongoing care is available hourly or on a monthly retainer.

Church website projects start at $2,500

The price is fixed and agreed before work begins, with three rounds of revisions and 30 days of post-launch support included. Payment is typically 50% upfront and 50% at launch, and milestone payments are available for larger projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a church website cost?

Church website projects start at $2,500 for a fixed-price build. The final price depends on the number of pages and features such as sermon archives or event calendars. You'll get a fixed quote after a free consultation, before any work begins.

How long does it take to build a church website?

Most websites take two to six weeks, depending on the size of the site and how quickly content such as photos, staff bios and ministry descriptions comes together.

Can our staff and volunteers update the website themselves?

Yes. I build church sites so that the people who manage announcements, events and sermons can update them without technical help, and I'll walk your team through it at launch.

Can you connect our existing online giving?

Yes. I connect your giving page to the giving provider your church already uses, so members can give online without you switching systems.

Do you only work with churches in Tucson?

No. I'm based in Tucson and can meet in person with churches in Tucson and southern Arizona, and I work remotely with churches anywhere in the United States.

Do you provide hosting?

I don't sell hosting directly, but I'll help you choose hosting and a domain, set everything up and make sure it's configured correctly.
